MID-TRIP GET AWAY and PICTURES of WEEK #3 with TIME STUDENTS

June 20, 2017

We are loving the TIME interns.  A big shout out to Cedarville University and Melissa Burns who encourage students to have a heart for the lost and worldview that extends beyond their comfort zone.

We just got back from a two day, middle of the trip get-away.  We had a great presentation on animism in Paraguay from a colleague, saw two Jesuit reductions and learned more of Paraguay’s history, had a great debriefing time and had some time of R and R.

Reductions: Jesus

Reductions: Trinidad

Thinking about Ryan’s “lasts”.  This is his last trip to the ruins (a trip we take each year with the TIME students).

We finished the trip with team mate’s and their church’s Father’s Day lunch.

And now they’ve come back with a renewed vow to love their host families well, to laugh at their language learning mistakes, to kill the spiders lingering above their beds and to eat the heaping piles of food on their plate.

This past week.
Clinic time.
