Tuesday (September 22) late afternoon we arrived in at the SIM headquarters in Charlotte. Wednesday and Thursday we had various meetings that we needed to attend and one morning Jeff shared at morning prayers about our ministry in Paraguay. SIM has been a wonderful sending agent for us. There are so many staff members at the home office that we admire and love.
Wednesday we were able to have dinner with friends (Ryan and Jamie) who we had met in Paraguay when they came down to lead worship for our annual Spiritual Life Conference in 2006. Thursday we met another couple (Bill and Eunice) for lunch. This couple makes frequent trips to Paraguay to do pastoral care, love on us and encourage us. Thursday evening we had dinner with a family (the Bremners) who ministered in Paraguay about 15 years. Hearing their vision for Paraguay is what really encouraged us to move to Paraguay. However, shortly after we arrived, they accepted a staff position at SIM international (in Charlotte).
