CAMPING!

May 19-21, 2011

The kids have been asking about camping since we arrived in Paraguay. But with Julia being recently born, getting set back up in San Francisco and our constant stream of intern and guests, we haven’t had a chance. When Joshua mentioned that it would be fun to camp for his birthday, we figured we better squeeze in a trip before winter hits and our next set of interns arrived. So off we went....

It was our family’s first time to camp in Paraguay and our first time to go with Julia. She did great just playing outside (flower child). Another missionary family joined us for those 2 nights. The second night, a third missionary family came out for dinner and s’mores.

Camping with the Reiches and their 2 boys. We had to constantly shoo away chickens.

The weather was great. During the day, it warmed up just enough to feel good and at night, it was cold enough to snuggle and appreciate a fire. However....even when we all had on sweatshirts and pants, Micah still only kept on his bathing suit. Can you see him in the background?

Julia's first s'more. Yum!

The big boys' tent.
